Award-Winning DanceForce Company To Hold Open House
The open house and free dance class for the nationally acclaimed dance company, owned by the park district, will take place July 30.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Ever feel the need to dance and want to be formally trained? Bolingbrook Park District's DanceForce Company is hosting an open house July 30 to introduce the community and possible future dancers to the program.
From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Annerino Community Center, 201 Recreation Drive, those interested try a dance class for free, meet the program's team and learn about the offerings. The first hour of the event will be spent taking a dance class, and the second will be split in half between a meet and greet with instructors and a question-and-answer segment with Lindsey Pollina, the dance program manager.
The DanceForce Company is Bolingbrook Park District's award-winning, nationally acclaimed performance dance company that trains students from ages 6 to 18. Its mission is to "empower youth through dance performance and leadership opportunities and to engage them in activities and experiences that will encourage the development of strong character, proactive involvement with their community and effective leadership skills."

No registration is required for the open house.
Then later this summer, on Aug. 8 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., DanceForce Company is hosting free auditions at the Bolingbrook Recreation & Aquatic Complex, 200 S. Lindsey Lane.

Dancers will be placed wherever is the best fit based on skills, technique, age and etiquette, the website said.
