Big Home Depot Theft: Bolingbrook Crime Blotter

Bolingbrook Police also made several DUI arrests.

BOLINGBROOK, IL -Here's your look at some of the recent crimes investigated by the Bolingbrook Police Department.

April 19

Sonya Sanchez, 49, 3800 block Broken Elm Drive, Romeoville, was charged with DUI and improper lane usage, following a traffic stop at Barbers Corner Road & Boughton Road at 11:10 p.m.

April 20

Officers were called to Ava Court for a residential burglary. Someone broke a rear door between 8 a.m. and 10:42 a.m. Designer purses, lock box, MacBook, back pack, jewelry, credit cards and checkbook were taken. Loss valued at $7,600.

A designer wristlet and cash were taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway on the 2300 block of River Hills Drive at 1:50 p.m.

April 21

Steven Schroll, 32, 100 block of Redwood Drive, Elwood, Lindsey Sheldon–Padron, 34, same address in Elwood, and Stacy Bouquet, 34, 1300 block of Ridgewood Avenue in Joliet, were charged with theft, following a call to a business in the 12200 block of Disk Road for suspicious persons at 3:19 a.m.

April 22

Someone cut a cable to the gated area and removed four riding lawn mowers from Home Depot, 105 N. Weber Rd. at 3:13 a.m. Loss valued at $5,900.

Unrelated, Marek Komperda, 52, 800 Glenside Circle, was charged with DUI, improper lane usage and no insurance, following a traffic stop at Lily Cache Lane & Veterans Pkwy at 4:32 a.m.

April 23

Officers responded to a business on the 12000 block of Disk Road several times for the report of a theft. Someone numerous deep cycle batteries from a mobile traffic board between April 19-23.

A wallet, credit cards and cash were taken from a secured locker in the 500 block of N. Janes Avenue between 4 p.m. and 5:57 p.m.

Thomas Lopez, 30, 244 Plainview Drive, was charged with two counts of DUI, driving on a suspended license, improper lighting and failure to yield, following a traffic stop at Plainview Drive & Shady Lane at 9:51 p.m.

Officers were called to Meijer, 225 N. Weber Road for a retail theft. Someone concealed several bottles of alcohol and exited the store at 1:55 a.m. without rendering payment. Loss valued at $115.

April 24

Matthew Jackson, 26, 600 block of Niagara Drive was charged with two counts of DUI and improper lane usage, following a traffic stop at Chesapeake Drive & Rockhurst Road at 2:33 p.m.

Jamari Hoy, 22, 5000 block of W. Crystal Avenue in Chicago, was charged with aggravated assault, speeding, failure to yield and resisting a peace officer, following a traffic stop on the 1400 block of Waterside Drive at 8:15 a.m.

April 25

Jake O’Brien, 23, 13115 Arbeiter Road, Minooka, was charged with two counts of DUI and improper lane usage, following a traffic stop at Arrowhead Ln. & Bolingbrook Dr. at 2:52 a.m.
