Binny's Beverage Thief Has Warrant: Complaint

Bolingbrook's Police Department obtained a bench warrant for the suspect's arrest on Tuesday.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - It is against the law for someone under the age of 21 to be purchasing alcoholic products and it's also against the law to steal from a business. This week, Bolingbrook's Police Department filed a retail theft complaint against 19-year-old Edmond K. Brown of Chicago in connection with a crime at Bolingbrook's Binny's Beverage Depot, 639 East Boughton Road.

On Sept. 30, Brown entered the Binny's on Boughton Road, and he stole several hundred dollars worth of Hennessey cognac "the full retail value of which exceeds $300 with the intention of depriving the merchant permanently of the possession, use or benefit of such merchandise," the complaint reads.

Court records in Will County show that Brown turned 19 in September. His address in court files is listed as being in Chicago in the 5200 block of West Washington.
