Black History Month Celebration Planned At Bolingbrook HS

BOLINGBROOK, IL — The Black History Month Awareness Club and Valley View School District will host its 24th annual community-wide Black History Month celebration on Feb. 12.

According to the district, the event, "Education is Elevation," will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on Feb. 12 at the Roger and Pat Claar Family Auditorium at Bolingbrook High School.

Admission to the event is free, the district said. The event will feature a College and University Fair at 1 p.m., followed by the Black History Month program including the Jesse White Tumblers at 2 p.m.
