Bolingbrook Approves $730K Reconstruction Program

BOLINGBROOK, IL — At its Tuesday meeting, the Bolingbrook Village Board approved a proposal with WSP USA for professional engineering services for the 2023 community development block grant paving program.

Earlier in the meeting, the Board accepted the lowest bid of $730,960.56 from Brothers Asphalt Paving, Inc., for the program.

Trustee Michael Lawler said the state and others require engineering oversight, and the vendor will inspect and ensure quality control throughout the program.

"The contract is for 11 streets, 10 of which are in historic Bolingbrook," Lawler said. The proposal for professional engineering services shall not exceed $60,000.70, which is 8.2 percent of the total bid amount.

The Public Services Committee recommended approval of the proposal, and the Village Board unanimously approved.
