Bolingbrook Assault: Man Struck Person In Head During Fight: Cops
A man has been charged with aggravated assault and aggravated battery after striking someone in the head with a blunt object, police said.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — A Bolingbrook man has been charged with aggravated battery and aggravated assault after he struck another person in the head with a blunt object during a fight on Sunday, Bolingbrook Police said.
Police responded at 5:57 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of Forest Way for the report of a fight in progress, police said. Officers found multiple people, including one who was struck in the head with a blunt object, according to police. That person was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Officers learned that Cord Krol, 53, had engaged in an argument with a few passersby, police said. The altercation escalated and Krol struck one of the people in the head with a blunt object, police said.

Krol was charged, and was taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
