Bolingbrook Chamber Director Announces Resignation
Michael Carpanzano will stay on during search for new executive director.

After a year and a half on the job, Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Michael Carpanzano has announced his resignation.
A press release from the chamber notes that Carpanzano has resigned to pursue a new opportunity in the private sector. Via social media, Carpanzano said that starting in mid-October he will be the regional director of sales at PT Solutions Physical Therapy as the Georgia-based company breaks into the Chicago market. The job will allow him to maintain a presence in the Bolingbrook and Will County communities, the chamber said.

Carpanzano will stay with the chamber during the search for a new executive director to ensure a smooth transition. A search committee is being formed to choose his replacement, and application information will be posted to the chamber website, the chamber said.
“After 17 months of serving the Bolingbrook Chamber’s 600 members, Carpanzano’s accomplishments include radically increasing the chambers communication reach to businesses, residents,and government through email marketing, social media, and the chamber’s new visibility at community and local non-profit events,” the chamber said in an announcement issued Thursday morning. “In addition, member engagement and retention grew as he believed in home-based businesses and entrepreneurs just as much as he did large scale corporations.”

Mir Ali, chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors and director of operations for The Shamrock Companies. added, “Michael has done good things for our chamber. During his time as executive director, Carpanzano has been an advocate for businesses of all sizes spurring economic growth in Bolingbrook while cultivating vital relationships throughout the region. We wish him well in his future endeavors.”
In a statement, Carpanzano said it has been a privilege to serve the chamber and the Bolingbrook community. “Leading this member-driven organization has been one of the best experiences of my lifetime,” he said. “I believe in the power of community and that every single member is important and moreover, the collaborations between business and community as they play a vital role together in our overall success.”
