Bolingbrook Cops Bust Naperville Man For Reefer

The arrest occurred early Tuesday morning.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - Laslow Balla of Naperville is being detained in downtown Joliet after being arrested early Tuesday morning by the Bolingbrook Police Department after his car reeked of marijuana, police say. Officers busted Balla for speeding and making improper lane changes east bound on Boughton Road near Winston Drive, police reports show. A traffic stop was initiated and Balla, 50, from the 400 block of River Road, Naperville, was behind the wheel.

According to police reports, officers detected a strong odor of cannabis emanating from the Naperville man's car. Upon searching the vehicle, officers located cannabis, cocaine, and controlled prescription pills.

Balla was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, possession of cannabis over 10 grams, speeding and failure to signal.

Balla was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility and he will go before a judge for a bail hearing on Tuesday afternoon.
