Bolingbrook Ex-Con Jailed For Metal Dart Gun: Complaint
Joseph E. Schaefer did some prison time a few years ago.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - Joseph E. Schaefer may be growing older, but his troubles with the Bolingbrook Police Department and the Will County judicial system won't stop. Ten years ago, in 2008, Bolingbrook Police hauled Schaefer off to the Will County Jail, charging him with six felonies including two counts of attempted murder. However, his crimes were reduced under a plea bargain that resulted in a five-year prison sentence. He did his time, then he returned to Bolingbrook. On Wednesday afternoon, Bolingbrook Police hauled the 55-year-old Schaefer off to the Will County jail again. A bench warrant was issued last week by Will County Judge Carla Alessio Policandriotes.
Schaefer faces three felony counts of being a felon in possession of a weapon. According to his latest felony complaint in Will County, Schaefer got into an argument with a relative at his house in the 300 block of Bolingbrook's Drake Avenue.
The complaint alleges that Schaefer "knowingly possessed ... a dangerous or deadly weapon or instrument of like character, a blow gun with metal darts with the intent to use" against his relative.
