Bolingbrook Garbage Collection Stopped Wednesday Due To Weather

BOLINGBROOK, IL — As snow continues to fall on Wednesday, Groot has stopped operations for garbage and recycling pick-up, according to the Village of Bolingbrook.

Groot will resume service on Thursday. The Village said pick-up will be delayed one day from your usual collection for the remainder of the week, including for those who did not have collection today.

Many area schools and services were also closed on Wednesday. Valley View School District implemented an e-learning day on Wednesday, and the Fountaindale Public Library is also closed on Wednesday.

Bolingbrook Park District canceled its early childhood programs on Wednesday, and the Annerino Community Center is also closed. Bolingbrook Recreation & Aquatic Complex, Lifestyles Fitness, Pelican Harbor lap swimming is currently open, but will close at 3 p.m. Wednesday, according to the park district.
