Bolingbrook Garden Club Donates Over 1,500 Pounds Of Food To Pantry

The food was given to the West Suburban Community Pantry over the course of this year's growing season.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Over the course of the 2023 growing season, the Bolingbrook Garden Club has given over 1,500 pounds of locally grown produce to the West Suburban Community Pantry.

According to the club, this effort and dedication was coordinated by club member Dennis Dill who just donated the final community garden harvest totals this week.

Despite a summer drought, Bolingbrook Garden Club members grew a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, and herbs in community garden plots and home gardens, the club said in a release.
