Bolingbrook Hospital Foundation Raises $100,000 at Cirque II Fundraiser

The Bolingbrook Hospital Foundation raised nearly $100,000 for Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital last month at its Cirque II fundraiser.

The Bolingbrook Hospital Foundation raised nearly $100,000 for Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital at its special event, Cirque II, held Oct. 20 in Bolingbrook.   

More than 350 attended the event, which was held at Bass Pro Shops at the Promenade Bolingbrook. The event featured aerial artistry, top-class entertainment, and mesmerizing costumes. Guests dined on menu items from 13 restaurant and lounge partners.

“We are so grateful to the community for their support of this event,” said Rick Mace, chief executive officer of Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital. “In addition to raising financial resources to support our health services, we were able to increase awareness of the programs and services available at our hospital.”

Ron Hawkins, chairman of the Bolingbrook Hospital Foundation Board of Directors, was honored for his philanthropic leadership and service to the foundation. Hawkins, a Bolingbrook resident, was a founding board member in 2007 and has served as chairman since 2009.

Cirque II is the foundation’s major fundraiser of 2012. The Bolingbrook Hospital Foundation furthers Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital’s mission through philanthropy. The Diamond Sponsors of the event included:  American Family Insurance, the Law Offices of Neil J. Greene and DuPage Township. The event co-chairs were Ricardo Morales and Tom Castagnoli.

More than 50 sponsors helped support the event, along with host sponsor, Bass Pro Shops, which provided a unique venue. The boats in the large showroom were moved outside to allow for the room to be transformed into an exclusive, chic lounge. Restaurant partners were Aloft Hotel, bd’s Mongolian Grill, Binny’s, Francesca’s, Gordon Biersch, Go Roma, IKEA, IPIC/Salt, Islamorada Fish Company, Mago, Nancy’s Pizza, Southern Wine & Spirits and Ted’s Montana Grill.
