Bolingbrook Hosts All American Celebration This 4th of July
Live music, appearance by Chicago Blackhawks tenor Jim Cornelison set for Friday at Bolingbrook Golf Club.
The Village of Bolingbrook and Bolingbrook Golf Club will team up to host the 2014 All American Celebration, starting at 2 p.m. Friday, July 4, at the golf club, 2001 Rodeo Drive.
The event includes food from local restaurants, a 50-seat outdoor bar from Sauza Blue Tequila, the Budweiser Entertainment Pavilion with a beer garden, a barbecue buffet and more.
This year will offer up kids activities and inflatables, plus a live remote from Radio Disney from 3 to 6 p.m.

- 3:30 p.m.: The Walk Ins
- 5 p.m. American English
- 7:15 p.m. ARRA
Chicago Blackhawks tenor Jim Cornelison will perform the National Anthem at 9 p.m., followed by a fireworks display presented by the Village of Bolingbrook.

Here's a roundup of other local events set to light up the sky:- Joliet - Fireworks will start at dusk Friday, July 4 at Joliet Memorial Stadium, 3000 W. Jefferson St.
- Joliet - fireworks will follow the Joliet Slammers games July 4 and 5 at Silver Cross Field, 1 Mayor Art Schultz Dr. Both games start at 7:05 p.m. and fireworks will immediately follow the game.
- Plainfield - Patriotic Picnic & Fireworks starts at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 3, at Plainfield Central High School, 24120 W. Fort Beggs Drive. Fireworks start at dusk.
- Romeoville - An Independence Day celebration is set for 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday, July 3, at Deer Crossing Park, 1050 W. Romeo Rd. The event will feature live music from Hi Infidelity, followed by fireworks at 9:15 p.m. at nearby Village Park, 900 W. Romeo Rd.
