Veterans, current military personnel and first responders will be admitted to the concert free of charge.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Bolingbrook High School’s Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band will honor veterans, those currently serving in our country’s armed forces and first responders with a patriotic concert at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3.

Included in the performance will be a piece called “Summon the Heroes” in recognition of BHS alum Troy Doris who finished 7th in the triple jump at the Rio Olympics, “Hymn to the Fallen” in recognition of our first responders and all those who risk their lives for all of us, and the “Armed Forces Salute.”

The evening will also focus on the new theme at BHS: “Wherever you go, whatever you do, honor Bolingbrook.” BHS Principal Jason Pascavage has agreed to handle emcee duties and retired Brooks Principal Ron Krause will serve as guest conductor for one number.
