Bolingbrook HS Gets New Assistant Principal
Albert Brass will be leaving on July 1 to become a high school principal in another district.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - The Valley View School District 365U Board of Education has approved the selection of Chuck Marik to the position of Assistant Principal at Bolingbrook High School. Marik will succeed Albert Brass on July 1. Brass has been selected by the District 227 Board of Education to be the principal of Rich East High School.
Marik has served the Bolingbrook HS community in several capacities since joining the BHS staff in 2002. He began his service in VVSD as a social studies teacher and filled that role until 2016 when he became Core Content Administrator for Social Studies at BHS in 2016. Since joining the BHS staff in 2002, Marik has also served as Social Studies Department Chair, Asst. Athletics & Activities Director, Head Boys Golf Coach, and also as an assistant coach for baseball, golf, scholastic bowl, and softball.

Marik earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 2002 from Western Illinois University and then his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of St. Francis 2006.
