Bolingbrook K-9 Units Awarded At 22nd K-9 Olympics
Bolingbrook Police Department K-9s Johan and Ava brought home several awards from the K-9 Olympics for their dedication and craft.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Bolingbrook Police Department's K-9 unit brought home several awards from the K-9 Olympics earlier this month, officials announced Tuesday.
Presented annually by American Working Dogs & Vohne Liche Kennels, the K-9 Olympics at the 22nd Annual Seminar & Certification Trials was a multiple-day event that took place Aug. 8 through Aug. 13 in Denver, Indiana. More than 100 K-9 teams from around the country competed, according to a news release.
K-9s Ava — who recently received an armed vest donation — and Johan, along with officers Jason O'Hara and Mary Rose Kendall, placed in multiple events.

"Their success is a direct result of their endless dedication to this department and their craft," police officials said in a statement. "They continue to represent BPD with pride and distinction and we congratulate them on their continued success."
