Bolingbrook Man Charged With 4th DUI Offense, Again
Creghin was also arrested by Bolingbrook Police in 2015, but was found not guilty at a bench trial.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - Felony criminal charges were filed last week against a 49-year-old man from Bolingbrook who was pulled over and arrested on Dec. 11 in connection with being a repeat drunken driver. A criminal complaint at the Will County Courthouse accuses Paul Creghin, who lives in the 100 block of Bolingbrook's Julie Street, with aggravated driving under the influence, a Class 2 felony.
The criminal complaint notes that Creghin has three prior DUI citations from:
- July 27, 1988 in DuPage County
- May 5, 1990 in Cook County
- Feb. 27, 2000 in DuPage County.
Additionally, court records show, Bolingbrook Police officers had charged Creghin with a felony DUI offense in August 2015 but Creghin was later found not guilty at a bench trial before a Will County judge.

According to Bolingbrook Police reports, Creghin's latest traffic stop occurred shortly before 2 a.m. on Dec. 11. "Officers observed a gray Jeep Laredo traveling east on Boughton Road at Bolingbrook Drive. The vehicle was swerving severely and crossing the lines for the painted median," police reports show.
Bolingbrook police turned on their sirens and flashing lights. It was Creghin behind the wheel, reports show.

"Officers smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and observed indications that Creghin was intoxicated and under the influence of alcohol. Officers conducted field sobriety tests on Creghin but he failed to comply with specific parts of the tests. Creghin was taken into custody and was charged with improper lane usage and driving under the influence of alcohol," reports show.
After being processed at the Bolingbrook Police Station, Creghin was released on bond.
Creghin has retained the legal services of Clarendon Hills criminal defense attorney Ernest DiBenedello of DiBenedello & Kendall, according to court records. DiBenedello successfully defended Creghin at his 2016 felony DUI bench trial in Will County, records show.
