Bolingbrook Man Charged After Traffic Stop Finds Loaded Handgun: Cops

Police searched the vehicle and driver, and found suspected cocaine, suspected cannabis and a loaded handgun.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A Bolingbrook man is facing charges after suspected cocaine and a loaded handgun were found in his vehicle during a traffic stop on Monday in Bolingbrook, police said.

Larry Dean Jr., 34, was arrested on Monday, and is charged with felon in possession of a firearm, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance.

Police said that officers conducted a traffic stop at 2:26 p.m. Monday, near Veterans Parkway and Crossroads Parkway for a vehicle with multiple vehicle code violations.

Dean was processed and taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
