Bolingbrook Man Faces 3rd DUI Charge
His two previous convictions for drunken driving were also in Will County.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - A 31-year-old man who lives in Bolingbrook now finds himself in more hot water with Will County's criminal justice as a result of his most recent arrest for drunken driving, his third DUI arrest, court records state. The Bolingbrook Police Department filed the latest criminal complaint against defendant Michael Herrera on Nov. 21.
He is charged with aggravated driving under the influence, a Class 2 felony. Court records show that Bolingbrook Police pulled Herrera over during the early morning hours of Nov. 20 as he was driving a new 2019 GMC Sierra Denali on Boughton Road.
The criminal complaint for Herrera shows that he was cited for DUI on Feb. 20, 2009 in Will County and also on Aug. 28, 2011, again in Will County.

He was booked into the Will County Jail around 5:15 a.m. and his bail was set at $35,000.
About 12 hours later, Herrera posted bond, and he is now free.

Jail logs show that he lives in the 100 block of Thackeray Drive.
Court records show that Herrera has retained the representation of downtown Joliet criminal lawyer Cosmo Tedone. As a condition of his bond, Herrera was ordered by the judge to get a SCRAM device for his vehicle within 24 hours of his release from custody.
