Bolingbrook Man Slips State Police Fake ID: Complaint
Illinois State Police pulled Laneil Foster over on December 20.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - A 39-year-old resident of Bolingbrook's 100 block of East Robinhood Way finds himself in trouble with Will County's criminal justice system as a result of a traffic stop by the Illinois State Police. On Wednesday, a Will County grand jury returned a three-count indictment against Laneil Foster. He stands accused of two counts of unlawful possession of a fraudulent driver's license, a Class 4 felony, and a misdemeanor charge of obstructing identification, a Class A misdemeanor.
Foster spent about five days in the Will County Jail in late December before one of his friends from Woodridge posted 10 percent of his $20,000 bond. Jail logs indicate that Foster has a number of aliases including Oscar Herrera and Griffin. However, the criminal complaint suggests that Foster had multiple fake driver's licenses with a bunch of other names.
On December 20, "said defendant knowingly possessed a fraudulent driver's license or permit, namely an Illinois driver's license, bearing an image of the defendant but the name of Benjamin Ellis," the criminal complaint reads.

One of the additional charges also accuses Foster of "knowingly (having) possessed a fraudulent driver's license or permit, namely an Illinois driver's license, bearing an image of the defendant but the name of Daniel Henry."
The lone misdemeanor count accuses Foster of having furnished to an Illinois State Police Trooper "a false or fictitious name, residence address or date of birth, Reginald L. Matthews." Will County jail logs show that the Illinois State Police also had cited the Bolingbrook man at the time for following too closely, improper lane usage and driving on a suspended license.
