Bolingbrook Native in Porchlight’s Latest Streamed Concert
Bolingbrook Native to be featured in "New Faces Sing Broadway 1947" at Porchlight Music Theatre, streaming April 8 to May 6.

Bolingbrook native Austin Nelson Jr. will be featured in New Faces Sing Broadway 1947 at Porchlight Music Theatre, which highlights the next generation of talent, alongside host Robin DaSilva and nine other up and coming talents. Audiences can expect to be taken on a 90 minute musical journey of the 1947 Broadway season through song, historic information, trivia and sing alongs. New Faces will be available for streaming beginning Friday, April 8 at 12 p.m. CDT through Thursday, May 5 at 11:59 p.m. CDT.
Austin Nelson Jr. is a native of Bolingbrook, Illinois, a graduate of Carthage College, and currently resides in Ravenswood. Credits around Chicago include Sister Act at Mercury Theater Chicago and Bachelor: The Unauthorized Parody Musical at Apollo Theatre.
New Faces Sing Broadway 1947 is directed by Adrian Abel Azevedo, with music direction by Linda Madonia and was filmed on-site at The Ruth Page Center for the Arts where Porchlight Music Theatre is an in-resident organization. Now in its 27th season, Porchlight Music Theatre is the award-winning center for music theatre in Chicago.
