“Families and businesses deserve a water provider that is accountable, responsive, and focused on delivering quality service — not one that continues to increase rates,” Alexander-Basta said in a news release. “I am asking residents to stand with us and let the ICC know that this proposal is not acceptable.”
Illinois American Water filed its general rate increase petition with the ICC in January.
