Bolingbrook Pace Bus Crash Injures 9

It happened Monday night on Boughton Road.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - Bolingbrook Police officers responded to a Pace bus crash on Monday evening that left a total of nine people hurt, though none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening. The crash happened at Boughton Road and Winston Drive and involved a Pace and car, police said.

The wreck happened at 7:10 p.m., Bolingbrook's Police Department informed Patch.

"The bus left the roadway and struck a tree after the initial impact with the car. The bus driver was pinned and had to be extricated," police said. "The bus driver was transported to an area hospital with leg injuries. Eight bus passengers were also transported with minor injuries."

Police closed down east bound Boughton Road for a while but one lane has since reopened.
