Bolingbrook Park District Receives Lighting Grant From ComEd

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Bolingbrook Park District has received a grant from ComEd to replace the traditional bulb lighting at Central Park sports fields with LED fixtures, according to the park district newsletter.

The ComEd grant is for $268,404.

The fixtures will light the softball/baseball and football fields, and tennis courts with the new energy-efficient and brighter lights, according to the park district.

Construction is already underway.

The park district said the new lighting will save an estimate of $17,666 in energy costs annually.
