Bolingbrook Police Conduct Super Bowl Enforcement

The Bolingbrook Police Department wants to increase public awareness of not wearing a seat belt.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — The Bolingbrook Police Department is participating in the Illinois Department of Transportation’s Super Bowl Campaign this Super Bowl weekend. The safety campaign will run Feb. 10– Feb. 13, the department said in a news release.

"Our department will step up enforcement of occupant protection laws to help ensure the safety of all passengers in motor vehicles traveling in our community during the Super Bowl weekend," a news release states.

The Bolingbrook Police Department wants to increase public awareness of not wearing a seat belt and raise awareness of the dangers associated with not buckling up.

"One of the safest choices drivers and passengers can make is to buckle up-every trip, every time, and double check all child safety seats," a news release states.

Super Bowl Sunday is Feb. 12.
