Bolingbrook Police Department Serves As Drop-Off Site For Drug Take Back Day
Officers will be available to receive residents' unneeded medications.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — The Bolingbrook Police Department will be an official drop-off site on April 25 for the DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
The department said that officers will be stationed in the police department lobby from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to receive residents’ unneeded medications.
Items accepted include:

- Expired Prescriptions
- Unwanted / Unused Prescription Drugs
- Over-the-Counter Drugs
- Syrups, Ointments & Creams
- Patches
- Vitamins
Items not accepeted include syringes and sharps, injectable drugs, intravenous solutions, illicit drugs, oxygen containers, pressurized cannisters and medical equipment.
According to the department, DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day reflects DEA’s commitment to Americans’ safety and health, encouraging the public to remove unneeded medications from their homes as a measure of preventing medication misuse and opioid addiction from ever starting.
