Two Bolingbrook men will spend their Thanksgiving Day at the Will County jail for unrelated crimes.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - This week, domestic violence arrests have been cropping up around the village of Bolingbrook. Police officers have made at least two such arrests in recent days, hauling off the suspected abusers into a squad car, and taking the men on a ride to downtown Joliet, to the Will County jail. On Wednesday, Bolingbrook arrested Thomas Pierce, 52. Early Sunday, officers arrested 24-year-old Thomas Wiggins.
According to Bolingbrook police reports, here's a synopsis of the arrests for both cases.
In the case involving Pierce, Bolingbrook squad cars responded to the 200 block of Bedford Lane around 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday. Pierce was intoxicated and he apparently grabbed his victim by her hair and pulled her to the ground, police say. Officers put him handcuffs and charged him with a misdemeanor offense of domestic battery. The victim in this case did not require hospitalization.

At the home, officers found the victim and Thomas Wiggins, the suspected abuser. Police reports show that he did not comply with officers demands and chose to resist being arrested. As a result, Wiggins was charged with domestic battery, unlawful restraint, interfering with the reporting of domestic violence and resisting arrest.
Pierce remains in detention in Will County and won't go before a judge for a bond hearing until Friday.
As for Wiggins, he faces a $30,000 bond, meaning he must come up with $3,000 cash to get out of jail.
So far, he's still incarcerated.
