Bolingbrook Police Pop Jason Danick For DUI Once Again

The Bolingbrook resident ran a red light at 2 a.m. Saturday and had several open beer cans in his van, reports show.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - This past weekend, repeat drunk driver Jason Danick made it quite easy for Bolingbrook police officers to pull him over for his third DUI arrest. His previous arrests were in 2006 and 2011, also by the Bolingbrook Police Department. This weekend, Danick, 30, was behind the wheel of a red Dodge Caravan. Danick was driving in Bolingbrook at 2 a.m. Saturday, prime time for many police departments to be on red alert for drunk drivers. According to Bolingbrook police, Danick blew through a red light at Route 53 and Beaconridge Drive, which is not far from his house. The Bolingbrook resident lives in the 200 block of Beaconridge Drive, jail logs show.

When officers pulled him over, they saw Danick's van was littered with numerous open cans of beer, police reports show. Officers "determined that Danick was under the influence of alcohol and impaired. Danick was taken into custody and officers located several open cans of beer in the vehicle," police reports state.

Danick put his hands behind his back. He was handcuffed and taken for a ride to the Will County Adult Detention Facility in downtown Joliet. He got a $25,000 bond. He now faces felony charges of aggravated DUI-3rd and driving on a revoked license, also a felony.
