Bolingbrook Police Raise Over $4,600 During Cop On A Rooftop
This brings the department's 2022 total to more than $13,000 donated to the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — The Bolingbrook Police Department raised over $4,600 during the Cop on a Rooftop event for Special Olympics Illinois, according to a release from the department. This brings the department's 2022 total to more than $13,000 donated to the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.
The Cop on a Rooftop fundraiser was held on Aug. 19 at Dunkin' locations across the state, including in Bolingbrook.
"We would like to thank every citizen that generously donated during this event. Additionally, we commend the men and women of this department for their continued support of this beneficial cause," the department said. "Without their passionate efforts to organize, attend and run events like the Polar Plunge, Plane Pull, Torch Run and Cop on a Rooftop, our local Special Olympians would miss out on opportunities to challenge themselves, compete with others and grow as individuals."
