Bolingbrook Raider Brandon Walters Commits To Army

Safety Brandon Walters was a true team player, according to Raiders Coach John Ivlow.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - A key member of the Bolingbrook Raiders defense may be graduating, but his football career will continue at the next level. This week, Raiders safety Brandon Walters signed his national letter of intent committing to the United States Military Academy at West Point. This past season, Walters had 60 tackles, one interception and six pass breakups for Bolingbrook Football Coach John Ivlow's Raiders squad. The team went 7-3, losing its first playoff game to Warren, but Bolingbrook played the game without its star quarterback, who broke his leg the week before.

Coach Ivlow sees great things ahead for his graduating senior safety. Walters is 6-foot and weighs 175 pounds.

"Brandon is a true team player," Ivlow told Patch."He was a starting running back as a junior but due to needs at safety his senior year, he made the switch without a second slot and performed extremely well.
