Bolingbrook Selling Discounted Weather Alert Radios

Radios are on sale for $10 for residents, $15 for non-residents.

In an effort to promote severe storm safety, the Village of Bolingbrook will be offering NOAA Weather Alerting Radios at a discounted price during the entire month of April while supplies last. The radios will be on sale for $10 for those people that live within the village limits of Bolingbrook and $15 for all non-residents.

August 28, 2015 marked the 25th anniversary of the 1990 tornado that impacted Plainfield, Crest Hill, Joliet and many other surrounding areas in Will County. Since this storm, meteorologists and emergency responders have been working to improve the early warning time for people as the severe storms develop and approach, and as witnessed last year in Coal City, and other communities around the state, this early warning does save lives.
