Bolingbrook Senior Wins 800-Meter Race At Track Championship

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Bolingbrook High School senior Brett Wasick won the IHSA Class 3A boys 800-meter race at the state championship meet. The meet was held at Eastern Illinois University on May 28.

According to the district, Wasick set a new school record on his way to the championship.

Romeoville High School senior Joel Anyan also had a strong performance at the state meet, finishing seventh in the boys high jump event. The district said both Wasick and Anyan earned all-state status by earning medals at the state meet.
