Four Bolingbrook High School students earned medals at the recent DuPage County ACT-SO (Afro-Academic , Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics) competition at the College of DuPage.
Christen Amegashie (Medicine & Health) and Alexis Johnson (Oratory and Drawing) were awarded Silver Medals in their respective categories. Bryson Rivers (Chemistry) and Cristal Johnson (Physics) received Bronze Medals.

The competition represented the culmination of over 7 months of preparation for Amegashie, Johnson and Rivers who participated in the rigorous Argonne/ACT-SO STEM Research Program. They were mentored by an Argonne scientist and performed research on site at Argonne National Laboratory.
BHS students Kayla Marshall (Drawing) and Amber Johnson (Music Instrumental Contemporary) also participated in the competition.
