Bolingbrook Swears In Five Firefighters

The five new members of the department are Anthony Palkovitz, Kyle Symons, Jared Beckmann, Kyle Ballard and Mason VanDuyne.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Five firefighters were sworn in to the Bolingbrook Fire Department at Tuesday's Village Board meeting.

The five new members of the department are Anthony Palkovitz, Kyle Symons, Jared Beckmann, Kyle Ballard and Mason VanDuyne.

Fire Chief Jeff LaJoie said Palkovitz is a graduate of Argo Community High School, and previously served with the New Lenox Fire Protection District, Manhattan Fire Department and Roberts Park Fire Protection District.

Symons is a graduate of Minooka Community High School, and has previously served with the Minooka Fire Protection District, LaJoie said.

Beckmann is a graduate of Batavia High School and Waubonsee Community College. He has previously served with the Sugar Grove Fire Protection District, LaJoie said.

Ballard is a graduate of Oak Forest and Benedictine University, LaJoie said. He previously worked for the Chicago Heights Fire Department.

VanDuyne is a graduate of Wilmington High School and Joliet Junior College. He has worked for the Minooka Fire Protection District, LaJoie said.
