Bolingbrook Teen in Terrorism Case May Plead Guilty
The teen's lawyer wants more time to address the prosecution's plea agreement.

A Bolingbrook teen may plead guilty to charges stemming from an alleged plot to join the Islamic State.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Mohammed Hamzah Khan’s lawyer, Thomas Anthony Durkin, said at a status hearing that he had received a copy of a plea agreement from prosecutors, but needed more time to discuss it with Khan.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Matthew Hiller said the plea agreement has been subject to a lengthy approval process in Washington.
Khan was arrested Oct. 4, 2014 at O’Hare International Airport. He was planning on traveling to join ISIS with his 17-year-old sister and 16-year-old brother. His siblings were not charged in the incident.
