BOLINGBROOK, IL - Here's a synopsis of several recent cases investigated by the Bolingbrook Police Department. The following information was distributed by Bolingbrook police:

December 30:

The glass window of a business on the 100 block of E. Boughton Rd. was shattered with a landscaping brick. Video showed unknown subjects then enter the store at 3:40 am and remove several phones. Loss valued at $2600.

Miguel Hernandez, 48, 619 Glen Ave., Romeoville, was charged with DUI and too fast for conditions, following a traffic stop at Edgehill Dr. & Bolingbrook Dr. at 5:53 pm. (17-6727)

Officers responded to the 200 block of S. Bolingbrook Dr. for the report of an armed robbery. Unknown subjects approached the victim, displayed a handgun and demanded money at 8:00 pm. Loss valued at $33.

Officers were called to Meijer, 755 E. Boughton Rd. for the report of a retail theft. Unknown subjects selected numerous bottles of cologne, perfume and razor blade packages between 3:42 pm – 3:45 pm and exited the store without rendering payment. Loss valued at $1169.

Marlene Torres, 33, 214 Kenilworth Dr, was charged with resisting a peace officer and domestic battery, following a call to the 300 block of Woodcreek Dr. at 11:11 pm.

January 1

Officers responded to a business on the 600 block of E. Boughton Rd. for the report of a burglary. Suspect entered the locked business and removed US currency form register at 8:45 pm. Loss valued at $300.

Kenneth Ward, 62, 2209 N. Bogdan Ln., Joliet, was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, no insurance, illegal transportation of alcohol and two counts of DUI, following a traffic stop on the 500 block of S. Bolingbrook Dr. at 4:38 pm.

Terrence Johnson, 19, 1337 S. Independence Blvd., Chicago, Diamond Fondren, 19, 11141 S. Mason St., Chicago, Tia Hendricks, 25, 314B Woodcreek Dr., & Latonya Mallit, 24, 314B Woodcreek Dr. were charged with resisting a peace officer following a call to the 300 block of Woodcreek Dr., at 1:36 pm.

January 3

Joseph Blakemore, 31, 843 Beech Dr, was charged with two in-state warrants, obstructing justice, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug equipment,, following a traffic stop on the 1200 block of Lily Cache Ln., at 7:25 pm.

Keyon Dunagan, 38, 540 Taft Dr., South Holland, was charged with reckless conduct and unlawful use of weapon, following a call to the 300 block of Woodcreek Dr. at 12:13 am.
