Bolingbrook Woman Hit Man With Wine Bottle, Punched 70-Year-Old In Face: Police

The incident happened in June at a Bolingbrook business.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A Bolingbrook woman was booked into the Will County jail on Monday after an incident in June at a Bolingbrook business.

Shawnette King, 54, is facing charges of criminal damage to property, aggravated battery to a victim 60+, and four counts of aggravated battery in a public place, according to the jail log.

Bolingbrook Police told Patch that the incident happened at 6 p.m. on June 18 at a business on North Bolingbrook Drive.

King entered the business and began to break bottles and decor, according to officials. Police said she then struck the 70-year-old business owner in the face with a fist and hit another man, 46, in the head with a wine bottle.

According to the jail log, King was booked Monday and released from jail on Tuesday after a court hearing.
