Bolingbrook's Lotarski, Watkins Sign NCAA Division I Letters of Intent

Two Bolingbrook High School student athletes signed NCAA Division I Letters of Intent Thursday afternoon.

Softball pitcher Megan Lotarski will receive a full scholarship from Western Illinois. Lotarski hurled 144 innings for the Lady Raiders last spring, facing 733 batters and striking out a school record 258 of them. With an ERA of 1.23, she helped BHS to the first regional title in school history.

Jessica Watkins will attend DePaul University on a track scholarship. Watkins ran the second leg on the 2011-12 BHS 4x100 relay team that won the state championship, finished 9th in the state in both the 110 meter and 200 meter dash in 2012-13 and was team MVP, and last year finished 6th in the state in the 100 meter dash while also running the first leg of the 4x100 meter relay team that finished 6th in the state. She also holds the school record in the 100m dash with a time of 11.93 seconds.
