My friends, I have a heartwarming moment to share with you that happened this weekend.
Having had a day of running around like a chicken with my head cut off, and dodging hail in a sudden downpour, I returned to the chicken coop and found a wonderful sight.
What did I find when I walked in our door? Two fuzzy little snuggle buddies were curled up together snuggled under a blanket on the couch. It was the sweetest image I have seen in a long time.

Marley and Bella, the two fuzzy animals I speak of, are the best of friends. Marley weighing in at 67 pounds, and being much larger than Bella, took it upon herself to grab the blanket from her cage and snuggle with her little sister. She had managed to tuck the blanket around Bella’s little 6 pound body and the two of them were cuddled tightly together in a loving puppy embrace.
Not only were they snuggled sweetly together, but they each had their favorite stuffed animals with them. I couldn’t help but cluckle to myself at the sight of our German Shepard and Yorkie in such an adorable embrace. Each pup not just holding each other, but cuddling with their favorite “babies” as well.

These two never cease to amaze me. As I walked in the door both pups looked up at me, smiled and both then tried to share their “babies” with me. Marley’s favorite squeaky chicken, and Bella’s mini squeaker chicken. They are after all, my dogs, and being of the chicken-y persuasion, it’s nice to know that the obsession runs in the family so to speak. Cluckle, cluckle.
It’s as if these two sweet loving fur balls knew I needed cheering up. Seeing their joy at my return made all the nonsense of the day completely disappear. Sometimes we get so focused on the day to day drama that we forget to see the blessings around us. Regardless of the sudden down pours of “hail” in our lives, these snuggly moments do not happen as often as we would like. So, when they do happen, be sure to take the time to enjoy your own heartwarming moments.
And that’s the scratch!
