Feast of St. Vincent DePaul is Today
Today (Sept. 27) is the Feast of St. Vincent DePaul. But who was he?

We've heard of DePaul University, but who was St. Vincent DePaul?
Vincent was a 17th century Catholic priest who devoted his life to help the poor and sick. He founded two religious orders, several hospitals and ransomed over 1,200 galley slaves from North Africa. He was compassionate, tireless and humble.
Today, the Society of St. Vincent DePaul actively carries on this compassionate work of "bringing the Good News to the poor." How? By assisting families in need, providing food and giving funds for certain utility and rent bills.
