Meet Your Community's Pioneers During Library Week
Join local historian Kate Gingold for an author chat and craft at the Fountaindale Library Week event on April 13.

This year's theme for National Library Week is "Communities Matter @ Your Library," a perfect topic for author Kate Gingold. You see, she writes books about local history and the pioneering folks who started communities in Naperville, Lisle, Bolingbrook and the surrounding areas.
One of the ways that the Fountaindale Library is celebrating National Library Week is by holding their annual Author Fair on Saturday, April 13 from 11am until 4pm. Visitors will be able to chat with authors of all kinds of books from mystery novels to picture books and listen to book readings or presentations.
Gingold, author of "Ruth by Lake and Prairie" will don her pioneer woman costume to talk about how some of DuPage County's earliest settlers traveled to this area, also reading a bit from her book and sharing a craft with the children. Her presentation is at 2:30pm and other author talks are scheduled throughout the afternoon.
