Once Upon A Child

A day of shopping at Once Upon a Child

I went to the Once Upon A Child store today in Naperville to look for a highchair. They only had one and it was $45. Thats about half price of what it is in the store, but of course I know I can find one at the Resale Connection cheaper tommorrow because I called and they have one for $10!! Now thats what I'm talking about!! So I'm looking forward to seeing what all other baby stuff they have and who knows — maybe something for me (grin).

I'm finding it is important to get out of the house at least once every couple days. Some days I head to McDonalds, sometimes Goodwill, and sometimes I go for a walk. I love my little day dates with my little man. He doesn't say much but a smile is payment enough for me. Eventually I will find a local sitter and go out on my own and perhaps even go on a grownup date with Daddy! But I checked Care.com and its like $30 to join. I feel my babysitter needs to be first aid certified and come with a gold medal in childcare so if I don't find one I like I may just have to join anyway!

Next I plan on joining the gym or start working out (yuck). I have 30 more of the 55 baby pounds I gained lurking around my hips (double yuck). But XSport says Jace has to be 6 months old before he can come into the daycare. Sigh...rules! I guess they are there for a reason. But I feel so fat! Man this giving birth thing is hard on my body. I don't see how so many women do it..and MULTIPLE TIMES!!! Kudos to you ladies!
