Will You answer the Knock?- That's the Scratch!

My friends, I must tell you of the amazing dream I had.

I put down my work and set my fears aside. I opened my door and stepped outside. I found myself walking through the world learning exciting new things. I traveled far and wide. I tried new foods. I learned new dances and greetings of all kinds. I saw amazing sights. And I heard amazing things. But most of all I got to live my dreams!

We are all on a journey. And sometimes we forget that life is not about how many breathes or heart beats we have. No, life is about connecting with others and discovering who we are. Life is about discovering those moments that take our breath away and sharing those moments with others.

Many of us tend to work so hard and worry so long that we forget to find time to just be. We get lost in our work and time slips past. Even weeks, months and sometimes years have flown by and all we’ve done is work, work, and work. We forget to step outside and take a look around. We forget that we once had dreams of our own that did not involve a desk with a mound of paperwork. And only focus on the thing we still need to complete. We forget to look out the window to see the sun. Telling ourselves, one of these days… But before you know it, one of these days has already passed and not once did we venture outside.

Then there are those difficult times that we all have in life. Sometimes we spend so long wishing for a situation to be over, that we miss the lesson involved. We have all been there. Whether it is bad news, failing health, fear of the unknown or just bad timing. We all wish for those times to be over. And long for happier moments. But I have found that it is in those times of difficulty, that I learn the most about myself and discover some pretty amazing things.

It is in those times that you discover strength, hope, and the desire to carry on. So, if we can look past our own beaks, we will see that the world is at our feet, and the adventure is waiting at our door. If only we choose to answer the knock and walk on through. The choice is yours the adventure is up to you.

We are all on this journey. And yet we often feel completely alone. But, what we need to remember is to look around us. When we open our eyes we see a world full of adventures waiting to be experienced.
