Your 2011-2012 Chicago Bears!

Today, I look at the roster for the season. Note: this still can change but we go with how it is for right now. I will sort it by strength.

Today, we'll take a look at this season's Chicago Bears position-by-position.

First we have the running backs:

Matt Forte: Touchdown Machine, I really hope the Bears give him a contract to stay.

Marion Barber: Runs to kill, this boy can run hard.

Kahlil Bell: Showed in the preseason he wants a job, I wish Chester Taylor would’ve shown the same heart.

Overall: This group will run hard and help the offensive line with protecting Quarterback Jay Cutler, allowing him to be hit less.

Defensive ends:

Julius Peppers: Do we really have to comment on this guy?

Israel Idonije: Great complement to Peppers, really came out over the past couple years.

Nick Reed: I found it tough to distinguish between Reed and fellow DE Mario Addison, glad they kept them both.

Mario Addison: See Reed.

Linebackers:

Lance Briggs: Wants a trade, do you think the Bears are going to trade him?  I would, take a first round draft pick and rid yourself of a stubborn player that already got a new contract three years ago.

Brian Urlacher: Continues to dominate, really good comeback last year.

Dom DeCicco: Rookie who played pretty good during the preseason.

Brian Iwuh: Touch backup.

Nick Roach: Will finally get to play. He will prove why the he is a good keep.

Defensive Tackles:

Anthony Adams:  Great underrated player.

Amobi Okoye: I'm excited to see him play on this line. I think he will snap.

Stephen Paea: Not sure how much he will play.

Matt Toeaina: Average player, will be ok.

Safeties:

Chris Conte: I’m not big on this guy, but the Bears see something.

Chris Harris: Coming on another year will hopefully play tough.

Brandon Meriweather: YEAH! He makes this weak class of safeties stronger!

Criag Steltz: Will he show up every game?

Winston Venable: I don’t know much about this kid, but he is ferocious.

Major Wright: I’m ready to dump this guy.

Wide receivers:

Earl Bennett: Cutler and Bennett have a good relationship.  I hope it shows this year.

Deven Hester: Explosive player, just not as a wideout.

Sam Hurd: I like him, and hope he steps up this year; never really had a chance in Dallas.

Johnny Knox: I hope he starts over Roy Williams

Roy Williams: I was psyched about the signing until I saw his “energy” in the preseason, not so happy anymore.

Dane Sanzenbacher: I like this kid’s energy, I hope he steps up.

Cornerbacks:

Zackary Bowman: Needs work.

Corey Graham: Could make the Pro Bowl as a special teams guy.

Tim Jennings: Also a great CB, underrated.

Charles Tillman: Great Player, needs one more to really make the CBs shine.

Quarterbacks:

Cutler: Needs the OL to be effective, but with a solid Bears running game can become explosive.

Caleb Hanie: I won’t lie, I’ve liked Hanie since his Colorado days. So I am biased towards him and I can’t wait until it’s Hanietime!

Nathan Enderle: I don’t know much about him but he looks stiff to me, needs to learn to be mobile.

Tight ends:

Kyle Adams: I’m happy he made the team, way to play kid.

Kellen Davis: I like the way he blocks, not to bad at catching either.

Matt Spaeth: Can block as well.

Olsen: Oh wait, the Bears traded him for a 3rd round pick. Yes, 3rd round.

Offensive line:

Chris Williams: Actually not looking to bad right now, hopefully he plays the same in the regular season.

J’Marcus Webb: I see a future signing to replace him, I wasn’t not impressed.

Gabe Carimi: I like this kid, I’m happy the Bears drafted him.

Roberto Garza: Looking good at center for right now, but I like him better at guard.

Edwin Williams: Depth.

Frank Omiyale:Depth.

Lance Louis: Depth.

Chris Spencer: Will look good at center.

Overall:

I hope to see some adjustments before the season but I don’t mind this team too much. The Bears need to add some depth at the O-line, add another cornerback and we might have something going.

What do you think?
