VVSD 365 Open Friday Thanks to Those Who Service Buses

Bravo to VVSD 365 Maintenance Staff, Transportation Services and Dave Richards

While neighboring school districts remain closed Friday due to bus problems, Valley View School District 365 will open on Friday due to the diligent work of their maintenance staff, transportation staff, and the leadership of Transportation Director Dave Richards. According to Ken Burgess, an employee of the Valley View School District 365, the bus mechanics spent at least 13 hours today getting the fleet ready for tomorrow. In addition, they have been busy all week in these sub-zero temperatures cleaning buses and preparing them for when they will run. Mr. Burgess stated that each of the buses have trickle chargers, which the drivers plug in at night to ensure that the bus' batteries are fully charged during extreme weather like this.

Kudos is given to the entire VVSD 365 maintenance staff, transportation staff, and Transportation Director Dave Richards for making sure the buses are ready and running when temperatures improve tomorrow and schools can open.
