Brooks Cheer Team Honored By Valley View Board
The team was recognized for qualifying for IESA cheerleading state finals.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — Brooks Middle School's cheerleading team was honored by the Valley View Board of Education at its Monday meeting.
The team was honored for qualifying for the Illinois Elementary School Association state final competition.
Students recognized were: Clara De La Cruz, Isabella Edwards, Mauriyah Elkins, Kimberly Franco, Mia Galvez, Imani Gatlin, Maya Kilani, Mallory Patterson, Melia Pfeifer, I’Laya Stewart, Kylie Vargas and Neriah Wilson.

"We just wanted to recognize our students for how hard they worked," Cheerleading coach Amanda Hoeller said during the meeting.
According to IESA, Brooks placed 29th at the state finals with a score of 69.70 in the small team routine division.
