Brooks Middle School Gets New Assistant Principal
Francie Capp will replace Christina Sylvester, who is leaving the district.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Valley View School District 365U Student Services Administrator Francie Capp has been named Assistant Principal for Brooks Middle School effective July 1. She replaces Christina Sylvester who is leaving the district.
Capp, who has been with VVSD for eight years, was Student Resource Team Leader at Brooks for two years before moving into her district position. Prior to that, she was a speech language pathologist at Hermansen and Beverly Skoff elementary Schools.

A graduate of Western Illinois University with Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in communication sciences and disorders, Capp also holds a Masters in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education.
As a Student Services Administrator, she supervised all of VVSD’s K-12 Multi-needs and STLR (autism) programs, serving as administrative liaison between the district and schools on student, family and staff needs.

During Capp’s career with VVSD, she has been involved in the Response to Intervention (RtI) process at the district level and played a key role in helping develop and implement an RtI program at Hermansen.
