Brooks Seventh Grade Basketball Team Wins State Championship

BOLINGBROOK, IL — The Brooks Middle School seventh grade boys basketball team won the IESA Class 7-4A championship on Feb. 10.

The district said the seventh grade team won 60-39 against East Peoria Central Junior High School at the championship held in Normal.

The Bulldogs finished the season with a perfect 18-0 record, the district said. The district said the team "dominated" during its run to the state championship, and had an average margin of victory in the six-game state championship series of 27 points.
