Cannabis Operation Found In Man's Basement: Cops

Bolingbrook Police officers busted this man's marijuana detail, police reports show.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - Keith Morris remains locked away from society inside the Will County Jail on a steep $750,000 bail after Bolingbrook Police say they busted up his marijuana harvesting operation that was taking place in the 400 block of Seminole Lane. On Wednesday afternoon, police raided the place as part of an ongoing investigation into the sales of illegal narcotics from the residence.

Here's what the Bolingbrook Police say they found: cocaine, a gun and cannabis.

"In the basement officers also located a small cannabis grow operation with cannabis plants. Equipment for the growing of cannabis was also seized," police reports show.

Morris, who lives at the property, was taken away in handcuffs.

Will County prosecutors have charged the 41-year-old Bolingrook resident with possession of cannabis over 100 grams, manufacturing of cannabis over 100 grams, possession of cannabis plants, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a gun, no FOID card, and unlawful use of weapon.
