Car Burglaries On Rise In Bolingbrook: Police Blotter

One of these residential break-ins was absolutely appalling.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - The Bolingbrook Police Department has been investigating a wide array of criminal activity over the past several days. Here's a snapshot of some of these cases that the police have handled.

The following information was provided by Bolingbrook PD:

Jan. 17

  • Dashun Green, 19, 105 Vernon Dr., was charged with driving on a suspended license, no insurance, resisting a peace officer and aggravated assault, following a traffic stop on the 100 block of Stoneham Court at midnight.
  • A semi-tractor trailer was removed from a lot on the 600 block of E. South Frontage Road between 4 p.m and 10:40 p.m.

Jan. 18

  • Officers responded to the 309 building of Woodcreek Dr. for the report of a residential burglary. The front door was forced open and two TVs were taken between 9 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.
  • Several vehicles parked in the lot on the 500 block of Remington Blvd. had their windows broke out. Several purses, wallets, pair of headphones, wireless speakers, I-Pass, multiple credit cards and a pair of shoes were taken between 1:18 a.m. and 2:37 a.m.
  • Officers responded to the 400 block of Seminole Lane for the report of a residential burglary. Soap and paint was poured over furniture and clothing throughout the residence.

  • Two vehicles parked on the 500 block of Kildeer Dr. were rummaged through and windows were broken out. A tool bag was taken at 12:28 a.m.
  • Two vehicle windows were shattered while parked in a lot on the 1200 block of Remington Blvd. between 6:45 p.m – 4:10 a.m. Nothing appeared to have been taken.

Jan. 20

Edmond Brown, 19, 5218 W Washington Blvd., Chicago, was charged with retail theft, five in-state warrants, and battery, following a call to the 400 block of N. Jan. 21

Someone entered T-Mobile, 1246 W Boughton Rd., cut the security cords and to stole two IPhone X phones at 7:55 p.m. Loss valued at $2,000.

Jan. 22

  • Officers responded to the 1500 block of Manhattan St., for the report of a theft. Someone removed 12 feet of copper pipe between Jan. 14-22. Loss valued at $450.
  • Craig Bryan, 28, 3536 W Congress Pkwy., Chicago, was charged with two counts of resisting a peace officer, criminal damage to property and criminal trespass to residence, following a call to the 400 block of Seminole Lane at 10:59 p.m. Patch also wrote an article about Bryan's domestic violence arrest.
